I am going to be in the KBFN Tourney in the morning and am in a world of hurt on this river. Chuck and I fished for close to 10 hours yesturday, putting in at Big Bone, and we MAY have got a total of 2 bites in the entire time. We through EVERYTHING we had at the water and had no luck. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to use/where to use it for this event? I expect the water level will be over 42 feet by morning and realize the conditions stink, but I REALLY wanna qualify for states (only cause I am SO CLOSE to doing so) and I MUST land at least one fish to accomplish this goal tomorrow. I appreciate any help I can get with this, as I hate to blow my chance to do what I thought was impossible this year during the last event. Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can give me.

If the water at Big Bone looks anything like the water in Louisville it will be a challenge. I would start with the oxbow areas near the dam(Craigs Creek area) and put the trolling motor on slow. Make multiple pitches to each area. The other things it to try going as far back in the creeks as possible and look for some cleaner water. I have had decent sucess as a co angler in the BFL fishing the river when it is up and muddy by using these same methods. Be patient and make sure to hook and land every bite you get because there probably wont be many. I would be using floro or braid to feel the bites even better. You will also need to detirmine if the fish are holding to the new bank or the original bank. If the water is rising they usually move up but if it is dropping the could pull off to the original bank. Fish your lures all the way back to the boat.Good luck!!!
