Size of fish on ledges?

I have found a couple of spots just loaded with fish. Seems they are all 10-17"s long , lots of fun but can't get many over 3lbs off of it. I have tried large baits, fast ,slow, deep to shallow, shollow to deep and so forth. Will they just be this size or are the better fish there and I'm not getting the job done?

Chances are you need to find another ledge...although 3 lbers I would take all day...usually if you find a productive ledge there are some larger fish there...but you may weed thru 30-40- fish before getting a good one..I usually move to another spot on the same ledge...try different structure on the ledge...or try another all together just to see...there are lots of variables when ledge fishing , there are a bunch of the size fish your talking about out there right now

As mentioned before, I would look for some other ledges. Typically fish will school by age class. If your catching a bunch of the same size fish that is probably the fish that live there. There may be a couple of good fish around but you need to find some ledges with consistent bigger fish.
