    Re: New to the boards

HAHAHA, well I try to get some fishing in every day out at lower douglas on Fort Knox. I have a buddy that takes me out in his Ranger....great guy, picked me up off the shore and we have been fishing ever since. He is on this board somewhere but forget his handle on here. Anyway, So far I have only fished at Nolin and Rough, with mixed results in both places...lol.

Welcome to the board!! I fish Lower Douglas alot from my Ranger as well so I might run into you sometime. I mostly fish KY and Barkley but make to Nolin, Barren and Rough from time to time. Keep the worm in the water! Later.

Welcome aboard!!!And remember this is not a bass fishing site only but a pure all around fishin site.Feel free to search the archive or ask any questions at all.Theres alot of great guys on here willing to help out.Ill start out with one,Is the fishing on the base still highly pressured and not to great?Years ago before they opened it to the public it was great.I bought a permit a few years back and found it to be full of trash and the bite wasnt real great.

Welcome aboard. As others have said, you'll find a lot of nice people on this site. However, I think I'm the exception as I'm a grouchy old retired fellow.

    Re: New to the boards

Thanks to all of you for the welcome. I appreciate it.....lol, love the coments about the rangers and as for the fishing on base......well, letes just say any small bass I land anywhere I have affectionatly named a LDB......or a Lower Douglas Bass.
On the other hand, I have been catching more fish out there than anywhere else, but still nothing to write home about.
I'm sure most of you have heard this 1000 times lately, but I am gonna say it anyway.....the fishing is TOUGH right now.
Once again, thanks for the welcome.
