nolin Fri nite and a rant included..

well, I fished my nemisis Friday night and some this morning. It was not good. Shad everywhere and I mean millions of them. Caught 5 Fri night 2 keepers by an inch or so.. but did lose a very nice one this morning on a swim bait, caught 7 this morning no keeper size. F&W was patrolling up in Iberia and writing several tickets to tubers. said a few words to them, not very friendly guys. They were not concered with me, had a pfd on and in a fishing boat, the state don't care about that, they want lifejacket and non registration money..who cares if the fish disappear? I'm really disappointed with the new young guys they have been hiring, they are not like the old men who were fellow hunters/fishermen. These new college guys think were trash and just treat everyone that way. Sorry for the rant, just don't get it.

Larry, I have seen several the last few years, at T-ville, Rough and Nolin. I have only been looked at once and that was at Peabody and the guy fussed at me because I couldn't get to my lifejacket in 2 seconds. I have never been checked for fish But this was the first time I've ever seen a ticket being wrote. I have never seen a fishing boat stopped. ever
