A buddy of mine told me that you have to drop your trailer at the top of the hill at Holly Creek and drive back down after you launch. Is the State Park or Sulfur Creek the same way? I'm not much on exercise lol. Just looking for a ramp around the midlake that doesn't require a 3 mile walk up and down those hills.
It's been almost a month since I was at the state park but they have actually changed that situation to something that is more acceptable to me. They have removed many of the curbs or stops ( whatever you call the things that separate parking places) to allow for trucks and trailers. I'm 41 and not in bad health but I really didn't like the "exercise" that I had earlier this year, when I chose to pull the hill to the upper parking lot. I hope the powers that be will at least consider that there are elderly folks who don't need that "exercise", as the situation at the state park evolves.
Sorry for the rant and the short answer to your question is that the parking situation at the state park is good, right now.
