Taking my son muskie fishing this weekend to Green River Lake he's wanting to catch a muskie. I know this is a bad time of year to fish, but does anyone have any suggestions??

Robinson Creek is always good, fish the channel edges, short line troll the quarry flat break lines with 6 inch shallow to medium running cranks. Also fish the pay lake behind Green River Marina with your bass baits. Use a leader and figure 8 every time. Good luck.
If you are set on going this weekend please be extra careful with the fish as they are fragile this time of the year. Take a net big enough to handle the fish and unhook the fish in the net. Photo quick and release. Muskies Inc has several outings through out the year and encourage kids involvement. Our next outing is in September at Buckhorn Lake. Several pro muskie guys come and will share tons of information.

Thanks so much for the info I've caught muskie on Green bass fishing in the past, but my muskie fishing has tailed off over the years I used to fish all the time in Ontario, Canada as a kid. Have a 25lb on the wall. Need to get more involved with it here in Kentucky Thanks again!!
caught about a 45 incher on a bass jig two weeks ago and have probably caught 10 or 12 bass fishing this year.....just go where you think the bass should be and youre sure to catch one
