On the water at 530 am, shad easy to catch at the little island and bay across from the Narrows Ramp. Jumps of large mouth 30 yards up the point and out off the point on the pennisula that leads to the dam, right across from the island near the dam. Small sporadic white bass jumps thru 11 am at the point of the island. Best advice is as sun rises, sit between the island and pennisula point and see which area blows up first. Great big jump at 4 pm at the point of the island when the whitres and hybrids coralled a big shad school against the point, then started pushing it down the side of the island that faces Baileys. Some small action, onesy/twosey in no wake of Baileys in the AM, but bunches of nosiey smuck boaters made it hard for the fish to do anyhting as a group.
Couple dink whites trolling cast master spoons on the big engine at idle between the islands. 6-9 pm drifted around the points at the siland near the dam and penisula point with night crawlers on downpoles righ close to the bottom and picked up a couple nice hybrids in the 3-5 pound range.
Running back to the dock at the Narrows at 10 pm, and the back side walls of the pennisula that holds the cut thru to the Narrows ramp, that entire bay are was poluted with schools of shad on the surface, so probably a good plase to look for AM jumps.
Bluegill and the like were fair on night crawlers under bobbers at the 6 to 8 foot dpeth, dinks above that.
