I have a shotgun that has removable screw-in chokes. I want to shoot a slug out of it...is this okay to do?
You can also get a screw in rifled choke for some guns, never shoot a slug with out a choke in it as it will ruin the threads in the choke, it would be best to buy a fully rifled slug barrell with sights or scope mt, as they are more acurite, cant spell for@@@@.
I've got one of the screw in rifled chokeS and the improved cyl or skeet choke is just as good![]()
A fully rifled barrell is GREAT but $$$$$$$$
I've killed a lot of deer with my ol duck gunIf your a big time deer hunter get the rifled barrell eH
Yes the barrells are costly, I am not a big time deer hunter anymore. I hunt for the meat now, love summer sausage, and have bacon made from it and it is killer. Barnes deer processing in Beaver Dam does a great job, also they make a great braut also. I use an SKS, that has been customized some to hunt with now, it was cheaper than a slug barrell. Good hunting.
