I received mine from Mitch McConnell explaining why he did what he did on the financial stabilization plan. All in all it was general politico stuff that sounded great but I still read it with reservations. The down side is I also received 5 flyers telling me how much I needed to vote Republican.I guess I'm on their list even though I identified myself as an Independant (I'm up for grabs I guess).

Yeah Don I got mine last week, a bunch a blah blah blah garbage. I'm surprised the Secret Service didn't come to my door after that rant I wrote and told the girl over the phone at Mitch's office, lol.I received mine from Mitch McConnell explaining why he did what he did on the financial stabilization plan. Got my letter too. Not much of an explanation, just acknowledged he understood my frustration with a coupla pages of goblety gook. Still not sure what to do. I don't want to vote for him, but darned sure ain't voting for Lunsford, and I don't want the Dems to get anymore of a majority in DC than they have already.
I'm really discouraged right now for several reasons. I don't trust politicians of any party, and my country's blind support of the likes of Barack Obama is impossible to understand. How stupid have we become?
It comes down to who has the most money to spend on idiot box TV ads for the votes of those too apathetic to pay attention. I'm disgusted with the whole situation.

Same exact thing here. I got a "letter" with a bunch of politician speak and now I receive something from the Republican party every day.
I'm still going to vote against Mitch and I encourage all of you to do the same.
You know I would but like DH said Lunsford is an absolute theif. I know a very prominent retired surgeon that I fish at his place in Shelbyville. He testified in that Vencor mess. He told me some stuff about Lunsford I wouldn't dare tell on this internet chat box but let's just say it would curl the hair on the back of your neck. I mean unreal stuff this guy did and I beleive what he told me, he knows what he's talking about. Also you know why Mitch talks about Valor but not Vencor, I hope I'm spelling these right? Because his wife Fuman chu or whatever her name is was on the board of directors at Vencor and she was knee deep in that whole mess.
Well, there is something that we can agree on. Hope that doesn't make you any more disgusted

looks pretty good right now...
oh yea, i got my letter "s" also but he supports gun rights to the hilt...what to do?
Absolutely not Andrew, we probably agree on more than we realize.
I decided last night I will vote for McConnell despite what I've said in the past. We simply cannot afford for Lunsford to take his place in Washington, so it boils down to the lesser of 2 evils.
Just watched the last part of McConnell-Lunsford debate. Lunsford is riding the same issues as the Dems nationwide, the war and the economy. The Dems voted for the war just like the Republicans, the Dems seem to feel a tax increase is the answer to a staggering economy.
Like it or not McConnell is a top player in Washington with a lot of influence that can potentially benefit our state. If we want any resistance whatsoever to the impending socialist state, McConnell is the one to vote for.
