Merc_EFI_175 HP_SICK

My Merc 2001 Model is sick heres the symptoms...

Starts good but revs up and dies over and over...After many times
it runs longer and longer until it runs fine except for an ocasional sputter
while running on plane say every 20 min or so has done this every morning my last 3 trips anyone ever seen these symptoms.

I would say its fuel related but thats as far as i can guess.Injector,bulb,bad gas etc.

Sounds like there could be water in the fuel system. Has the boat sat for a long time this summer? If you have a water fuel seperator I would start by changing the filter and see if it runs better. Good luck.

Bulb is firm, and its not gas as it runs good after its warm...

Fuel regulator,coil pack,injector,electrical gremlin?

I called B&J Marine think it might be the Ignition the beep it normally does has changed to a Chirp wish me luck it should be cheaper than most things
