Fellars, if you are looking for something to invest your change in, the sale of guns and ammo are through the roof right now. Local and abroad gun dealers are reporting incredible sales right now. Lock-n- Load.

    Re: Gun and Ammo sales

I was at a shop on Saturday using their indoor range...and man, that place was packed with people buying guns and ammo. All of the range lanes were full, with people waiting, and they were lined up at the counter writing up gun sales.

    Something to think about -

I'm hearing about a lot of "first time buyers" out there too. If you know someone who's new to the responsibility of owning a firearm, you might be a pal and try to make sure they are educated on safety. A gun isn't dangerous, but a gun in the hands of a newbie who hasn't been around them before and doesn't know the ins and outs of safe operation is scary dangerous. For those of us that are legal gun owners, I see it as a responsibility to speak up when I see someone with that look in their eye and try to help educate if they're willing to hear. You can tell the folks that need it. If we don't, the accidents that can happen only serve to give the media more ammo against gun rights.

I have just inherited a fabulous gun collection from my late brother. They go all the way from the very early 1900's to 2007, handguns, bolt-actions, automatics, hi-powered rifles, shotguns, military rifles, you name it. Three of them are new and one of the handguns still has the price tag on it. I have scopes running out the "ying-yang." There is a ton of ammo to go with them, all except for a 1964 .276 M-type rifle. "Sweetie Pie" and I already had some guns and now we REALLY have some guns. It took him 2 days just to clean the ones I inherited. There are two of them I won't shoot; my great-grandfather's 10-ga. 48" barrel shotgun and the .276 rifle. They need a different style shoulder pad (I won't admit to being a coward). Maybe Sara Palin can offer me some advice. I once saw my daddy shoot the 10-ga. at a buzzard and both did a complete flip in the air. He was shooting straight up and the buzzard fell about 15 feet from him. He got up, brushed the dirt off and looked at his shoulder; I didn't know a bruise could get that big and fill with blood that fast. I haven't yet had them appraised, and have no idea what they are worth, but they are in a secure place behind locks and more locks.

In case anyone is thinking, "Jeeze, that many guns in the hands of a WOMAN. Everybody down!" or "I wonder what kind of nerve pills her husband takes," I've had firearms training and everyone is safe.

As I started reading this I thought you were going to sell off a few. I'm going to get another handgun from a buddy just in case the new Barry wants to track every single gun and or tax them in the future...never know.

Talking Re: Gun and Ammo sales

Looks like many here are paranoid like many others in this country are and that is good for business Eh? I've heard they are going to get our guns for the last 40 years from the repubs and so far no one has come for them yet......Ya'll remember the big scare about Y2K? It was **** good for business too just like this lastest fear mongering about guns is......

My current collection is one shotgun, 2 rifles, one small caliber pistol and my favorite...45 auto......I haven't bought any more guns in the last 4 years just ammo.

Some of ya'll really need to get a good grip on things.....going though life looking over your shoulder ain't no way to live........trust me...there ain't no boogeyman....

    ________

Let me tell you something now, the day will NEVER come when this woman will be looking over her shoulder. I don't think ANY person with enough sense to sneeze wants to touch me, unless invited. The guns I own are: (1) My service revolver from days when I worked as an Undercover Agent; (2) Handguns of assorted caliber I bought just because; (3) Shotguns for same reason; (4) High powered rifles for the same reason; (5) Inherited collection as noted in an upper post. I'd trade it all if I could just have my brother and best friend back alive. The guns I bought were in my possession long before I ever heard the name Barack Odumbo.

I hold a black belt in Taekwando (that's karate in case I need to explain). My MO is try to talk FIRST, break bones SECOND, and 'air condition' a head THIRD. Scared is not in my vocabulary.

The ONLY paranoid person I've ever met on this board is you. You've already made sure we know you voted for Odumbo and got what you want. What bothers me about you is not how you voted; it's that you are constantly working on your low self-esteem problems. Please let me help you, without charge, your phartz DO stink and your poop does NOT come wrapped in neat little packages.
