    Soft Swimbaits

I'm looking at some Shadalicious. I new to swimbaits but these are fairly cheap, on sale at DSG for $5.99 for a six pack. What size works best for lakes around here: 3.5, 4.5, or the 5.5 inch? Also, whats the best way to rig these type baits.. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving...

The 3.5 and 4.5 will always catch fish because it's a pretty close match to the size of a mature threadfin. The 5.5 is close on gizzard's (Although they get MUCH bigger) and I keep those in the box until the times of year that the big girls are fairly shallow.

    Todd,

May I recommend NetBaits 4 inch swimbaits. I rig mine on a hornet head inline spinner, usually 1/4oz is plenty, a good steady retrieve and wait for the rod to load. The bite is like no other as you will feel the bite, but you have to wait for the rod to load up before setting the hook. it is a big fish bait so don't get down if you don't get a lot of bites, but stay with it and you shall be rewarded.

    Hope this helps,

    Skeeter

I didn't even know Netbait made swimbaits. I'll take a look at those because I'm big fan of their pacas. I already grabbed some of the Shadalicious in the 3.5 so maybe I'll compare the two. Thanks fellas...
