My brother in law and his dad is on the water at this very minute, Saturday morning fishing Jamestown area of lake. Water around Harmon and Difficulty 55 degrees with turnover in full swing according to him black and smelly, he moved up into Lilly Creek and found clearer water and a degree or two cooler. They are fishing with shiners and have boated on 2 small fish as of 11am but day is still going. Best up to date I can give even though it is not first hand. Hope this helps.

So the lake is still turning over? Is that just a local thing or can that be expected thoughout the lake?

Just got back. Striper fishing is decent to good right now. Bass fishing is ABSOLUTELY DEAD! If somebody says they got a big sack today you better check their boat for dynamite. Lake is turning over bigtime, it's coffee and nasty. My spools and line are stained and I didn't think I'd ever rub tht nasty scum off of the boat. Don't waste your time right now on the bass down there, Kevin Van Dam couldn't catch fish down there right now.

I did manage five Ky's and a real nice smallmouth Friday but Lord I worked for'em.
Today I finally rubbed the skunk off with one chunky 14 inch Spot and that was IT.

    Re: Cumberland

We did OK today but we went out of Conley and went the OPPISITE direction of the dam. We boated between 15 and 20 bass, but only TWO keepers in the bunch! My partner caught a AWSOME looking SM, probably around 4+ lber) but as luck would have it the dang thing measured in at 17 1/2 inches so..... Anyway, I would NOT go there to fish if it were not for a tourney, and even then I will probably not go back for a while.
