Did you see any whites or hybrids in the jumps or is that over this late in the year. Was there a lot of bait swimming aroung?

Fished below Markland Dam today. About 10 other boats were there as well. The water was pretty clear, and the water temp was 45 degrees.
We started around 8:30 and quit around 3:30. Two of us caught 12 keeper sauger and 6 stripers, and a very large (approximately 35 lb) blue cat. Most fish caught by jigging a spoon in 20 to 40 feet of water (including the cat); a few bit silver buddies. Most of the sauger were around 10", the smallest was around 8" (we threw a few back less than that).
Seemed like most folks were catching sauger pretty well. It looked like they were biting jigs tipped with minnows as well.
Maybe the "sauger run" has started?
