Re: "What i got from Secret Santa"

I walked out the front door last night and a box was sitting on the front porch. It had my name in huge letters on the top of it as I picked up this BEAST of a Box for a man that has been cut on as many times as I have, it was not the best thing to do. I knew that I had not ordered anything and see the return address is Hazard KY, John Robertson aka Catchemall. I open it up and there is a letter on top, $25 Gift Card to Backwaters in Lexington, and about 45 various fishing magazines to help me pass the time. The letter was a very nice letter. He has been following my medical issues and I know we have spoke before about sharing a boat to FNF, so he offers up an all expense paid FNF trip to any lake in KY or TN. Are you kidding me, a free all expenses paid FNF trip to Dale Hollow, A BIG HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME.

Thanks very much John, I really appreciate it very much. Took the Gift Card this morning to Backwaters and purchased 3 of the big Sexy Shad Spoons at $8 each. Can't wait to sling these 5 inch monsters on the drops at Ky Lake in the spring.

Thanks again John and for my all expenses paid trip to Dale Hollow, I suggest we leave on Jan 2 (just because of the holidays) and stay down there until the 3rd week of March. I will make the reservations at the best cabin on the lake(that has gourmet room service). Thanks for taking care of all of this, just wondering if you will get me a helicopter down there so I can fly back a few nights a week to see my wife, son and daughters? If the helicopter cost is not your part then I guess I can splerge for that part. Looking forward to spending almost 3 straight months on the water with you.

I guess I am behind, because I thought the mailing date was the 5th of Dec, so I will get mine out tomorrow. I apologize to my "person" for being behind the curve, but for some reason I had it in my mind to wait until then to mail it (been ready for since I got the name so no "good" excuse not to have it out by now).

As for my gift, AMAZING!!! I got THREE Lucky Charm Crankbaits, which I NEVER would have bought for myself!! Merry Christmas and THANK YOU to whoever my "Santa" was in this. I appreciate the baits VERY MUCH.

Thumbs up Re: "What i got from Secret Santa"

I just received my gift in the mail & I must have been a good boy.

    I received:

A trial sized pack of Banjo minnows.
2 packs of grubs for the all elusive Sauger, or to be used as spinnerbait trailers. (1 pack white, 1 pack charteuse)
A pack of Yum Boogietail spinnerbait trailers
And 11, yes I said 11, hand tied hair jigs, (that look absolutely awesome, might I add)
And a nice letter from Santa.

Some how Santa even knows the people I fish with, their names were included in the letter. I guess its like the song says "Santa Clause is watching you".

    Thank you Santa.

Santa found his way over here. I have never evere seen one of these. I got a Emmrod the Packer version. I had one of the old pocket fisherman. But I think that some body took alot of time in making this. Hey Chuck I see you eyeballing this and your going in the river.

    Thanks Santa

I here those come with a lifetime warranty too, on the rod, so keep the paperwork. I have one for each member of my family and we LOVE them, let me know how you like yours when you use it. We like them cause the store in the RV, saddlebags, backpacks, ect and we can take them ANYWHERE without issue. Anyway, let me know what you think when you use yours.

    Rob

PS. It doesn't tell you anywhere in there but if you hook it weedless and pull back on the hook, while holding the "trigger" in, and release them both at the same time it fires like a bow and arrow. Stop be their booth at the Christmas Show, or New Years Show, at the Fair and Expo Center and the dude will show you how to do it. Heck, if you want a different version (ie. the open-faced model) he might even trade it up for you, IF you tell him where you got it and that I sent you....lol
