Things I've learned about Winter fishing

1. The ramps will be less congested. Sanity breeds vacancy.
2. Get frost bite quick, reduce the amount of time you have to endure the pain before numbness sets in.
3. Burbon does not make you warm, but after 6 shots......WHO CARES?
4. Burbon makes you think you are warm, assuming thinking is still an option.
5. Wet rubber worms once frozen can impale you if you fall on them, never stand on end once frozen.
6. It's okay if your nose freezes stiff, its not supposed to move when you talk anyway.
7. The best way to keep you ears warm is to wrap them in a small pillow. The best pillow to use is the one on your sofa in the living room.
8. Never place a lit hand warmer in your shorts.
9. The best way to thaw a frozen fishing reel is to dump it overboard. The best way to stop a nose bleed resulting from throwing a buddy's fishing rod overboard is to insert frozen rubber worm segments.
10. McDonalds fillet of fish really does taste better than walleye anyway.
11. Wait till its 13 degrees below zero, buy 200 Goldfish from Walmart, go to C-land, look for shallow Striper school, dump the 200 Goldfish overboard, as Stripers go to the jumps and clear the water, use your landing net to scoop up the frozen Stripers.
12. Do not take advise from Bob about winter fisahing.
