6 lb xps or Seagar Invizix Fluoro. Fish it on medium action and you'll be okay. MH and up is a little stiff for me as I like to put a good sweep on them. You can always reduce your drag to suit.

I hear a lot of people that fish jigs this time of year at DHL and I've also heard of people use only 6lbs test line. Is this true? I think I'd rather have at least 8 if I'm fishing a jig a 20ft trying to pull up a big smallmouth. Would like to get your alls input on this.
fish hard!

I agree with bassman. DH is a very clear lake and the fish are not real aggressive. I use 8lbs fluoro on a 7ft medium light spinning rod. If you fish any heavier line make sure it is fluoro. Fluoro really helps the jig get down faster if they are biting in 30 feet of water which is what I found this weekend. If I could change anything from this past week it would be change my line to 6lbs, but more importantly fish the FNF!
I fish 10 lb. floro on a 7-7 1/2 ft. MH spinning rod. Usually throw a 1/4 oz. jig but will go up to 1/2 oz. if the wind is howling.
I try to pay more attention to the line diameter. There are some 8lb lines that are thinner than 6lb of other brands.
