I'm definitely not an expert, but stick with it. It's a blast when you finally catch one on the fly with the light line and rod.
I'd set your leader at about 12' and use primarily duck feather for your jig.

Heading to C'land in the morning and taking the FnF rod for the first time in a long time. I know this techniques catches fish for others, but nothing ever for me. Can anyone give me a few positive tips before I put the rig away forever. PS i'm using 6lb Seagar flouralcarbon (sp?).

the best thing to do if you want to learn how to fish it is leave every other rod at home except of the fnf...thats the only way i know how to learn with it as im a jigaholic

fished c-land today....caught 4....21",17"and15" smallmouth and 12"ky....all on creek walls....all before 11 am......11' leader.... duck w/ red.....good luck
