    Ohio River Fishing

I was wondering if anyone had any info on the water around Louisville. Me and Fish4food went down there on the 29th. We were planning on fishing the Falls. When we got there we discovered that the ramp was closed due to dangerous currents. I suggested we go on down to New Albany hoping that the current wouldn't be quite as bad. When we got there the current didn't look to bad but there were signs posted all along the river warning about raw sewage in the water. Can anyone tell me if that is normal or is it just because of the flooded river? Would really like to get down in that area for some saugers and blues but I'm a little concerned about the water quality!
Thanks for any info that anyone might be able to provide!!

Tight lines! and I hope to see you all on the water sometime!

Mike, to check on the water levels you can call 502-775-5056. The signs are always posted to cover there butt. I usually just trophy fish out of the river and leave eating fish to ponds and lakes. I will eat the sauger though, just don't make it an everyday thing. The water is down, but Ive heard extremely muddy and slow fishing. I will be down on Fri. 1\23 and let you know what's going on. Chuck
