75 Gallon tank. Kept it for about a year before I decided to take it down. Got tired of catching crawdads and buying minnows! I wouldnt advise anyone to put two bass of any kind in the same tank. I had two smallmouth in there first but they attacked one another and one died. So i put a largemouth in, and it attacked the smallmouth. Guess it was a territory issue.
Nice looking tank. how big were the bass when you put them in and how big a year later after you took it down?
largemouth looked to have gained a pound if not more. It was probaly close to a little over 2lbs when I took him out.
Awesome tank!Thats the way i was going to go at first but really didnt start out with a big enough tank.So i bought what i did and have been buying bigger when needed or ran across a deal to keep up with them. How did a 2lb bass act at first being put in there?I bet he was a hellion at first.
Here at work we've got a 75 gallon tank in the office that I get the dubious honor of caring for. One year we had a fish kill due to some chemicals, long story. So it get it cleaned and get the bright idea that I would put a couple of largemouth and a few bluegill in it from our neighbor's pond here beside us. I put a 12 inch a 10 inch bass and two keeper sized bluegill in it. Long story short, them dang things like to broke me keeping them in food. Between buying shiners, digging worms, blah blah blah I was going broke since this was my great idea. I released them back into the pond and they lived happily ever after.
It was fun when I would starve the bass for two to three days though and then dump shiners in there, they would almost bust the glass on the side walls slamming those things.
Good to see ya around again John. Hope all is well!Awesome tank!Thats the way i was going to go at first but really didnt start out with a big enough tank.So i bought what i did and have been buying bigger when needed or ran across a deal to keep up with them. How did a 2lb bass act at first being put in there?I bet he was a hellion at first.
