I read this and had to share:

Its the first day of bass season and this bloke always fishes the same spot on the river. Every year he sees the same old couple who are as excited to be there as him.

This year when he goes down there to fish he sees only the old guy, so he goes over to have his usual chat and he asks the guy where his wife is.....

The old guy says "its really sad actually 'cause my wife died not to long ago, and we used to come and fish here every opening day, she would have loved to be fishing here with me today, wouldn't miss it for all the world".

"Jesus that is sad" the bloke replies "don't you have any other friends that could come down here with you to keep you company?"

"i don't think so" the old geezer says "they've all gone to the funeral!"
