New way to get Stripers for Dinner.

    Is it fishing at cumberland?..........Nope.

Is it fishing below C-land Dam?...........No, sir!

    Is it hitting McAlpine?.........NOT!

Give us a hit, oh wise one.........

Sam's Club opened a new store in Elizabethtown and guess what? In there seafood stand, you can buy whole Stripers! I kid you not........

    Now lets see:
    a. The store is 22 miles closer to me than the Ohio River, and 84 miles closer than Cumberland.
    b. No boat gas.
    c. No lost rods or tackle.
    d. No freezing my tongue to the boat rail.
    e. No fishing license expense.
    f. No boat......or trailer.....or trolling motor.
    g. No cold weather gear required, no gloves, scarfs, or hats.
    h. And I can get there and back on one beer.

Anybody want to buy a boat?

Wish I would have known this before I blanked out on the Cumberland...I could have boughten some and just pretended that I had caught some! Then I wouldn't have had to get crap from my wife for spending two days out on the CL without bringing home any fish, lol!

Now I am going to have to drive from Gerogetown to Cumberland, fish all day, skunk, drive from Cumberland to E-town and buy some whole stripers, drive from E-town to Georgetown just to show my wife that I caught some fish and the trip was not a total waste. Thanks Bob for adding more miles to the "round" trip. Wonder if they deliver?

Yeah, that would be nice if they deliver...that way I can have them deliver straight to the marina after I pull out from being blanked all day at the CL, and just drop them straight in my live well!

I can work out some sort of delivery for a fee service for those that blank at the lake and don't live at Elizabethtown.

Well I am only 20 miles from E-Town, but I don't have a Sam's Club membership! Besides, I would rather fish the Ohio with onemorecast so that we can catch those delicious drum.

Do you remember what the price was for the stripers? I need it to work out the math to see how much my trip to the lake will cost me compared to what I can buy it for. I have a feeling just the gas to and from Cumberland will cost more than the fish would. Still, you can't replace the fun of fishing.

This time of year if you just chuck them in the cooler your wife won't know any different since they would be frozen any ways. Thanks BOB now my wife won't be able to laugh at me any more. Just make sure when you clean them you take the tag off of there mouth. Stripers are supposed to be tagged to let you know what waters they came from. Bob do you remember seeing a tag in there mouth?
