Pretty much everything you just said David brings me to fish tournys unless there out of state...as long as theres enough competiton,its on a decent lake and it dont cost an arm and leg to fish,then those are the tournys i like to fish

What makes you want to fish or not fish a tournament? The location of the lake, entry fee, amount of first place, overall payout, competition, guaranteed money, boat give away, what makes you want to come fish or not fish a tournament????????????????

the competition. it lets me see how i compair to other fisherman. and it is a way to see what you did wrong and what others did right, so you can grow as a fisherman. sure the money is good when you win but that is a bonus. for the most part the money you win pretty much just breaks you even after gass in the boat and gass in the car, food ext. but when you win it lets me know that on that day i was better then the other anglers. i had a plan and it worked wich dont always happen. plus you are around people who are just like you who share the same passion for fishin.

I like the ratio to a payout, plus thetournament location. As much as I like Barkley, I wouldn't travel there from Lexington to compete on waters another angler is on six days a week. That being said, I might fish it Cumberland, Barren or Herrington since I know these lakes much better.
