    Mortgage Bailout up next!!!

Most of you know I support Obama for most that he is attempting to do - I don't really understand the stimulus bill, not sure who does. But now that has passed they are going to start working on the individual mortgage bailout to save families from foreclosure. Although, there are probably some that could benefit from this - I am not understanding the reasoning behind it - other than to prevent a housing market collapse - thought we were there already. I have to say that I whole heartedly oppose this. I really think it is punishing people like me, that bought the house they could barely afford (but the key word is afford) and make a great deal of sacrifice to make that payment. We aren't the greatest financial minds - probably buy a few things we shouldn't, and have some credit card debt - but we now to make a monthly mortgage payment. I just wonder how many people will let themselves get to the foreclosure point, just to recieve assistance and lower monthly payments - who wouldn't want that.

I just think there needs to be some embedded benefit, reward or some tax break for the responsible homeowners that are in a sense helping the crisis by staying on top of payments, rather than simply rewarding the opposite. Maybe you guys are wearing off on me!!!! LOL!!

Anyone that signed the stimulus bill without reading it first was not doing the job that they were elected to do and should not hold office. All of them should go!

yep what a deal, I too Col. pay my mortgage and all other bills on time and always have.... But if I want my mortgage interest rate to be dropped big time....Then all I got to do is stop paying my mortgage payments for so long and then let the people step in and take care of my problem. They will refinance my home at a lower interest rate. Plus look at all the money I just saved by not making the payments while all this has taken place.....Yep seems like the thing for me to do...Might as well cash in on the Package like everyone who bought above their means......

I'm gonna come back and read this post later, my eyes must be deceiving me. Okay fake poster, the jig's up. Where's Col, and what have you done with him?

Kidding aside, you ain't seen nothing yet. You wanted Mr. Obama's big government socialism and now it looks like we're gonna get it like history has never seen.

Government Nancy Pelosi style: We by God won, our supporters want a European style socialist democracy and that's what they're gonna get. Me and Harry'll write it, and put our Presidential puppet out there to sell it. If it comes from the lips of the annointed one those suckers'll eat it up. Heck, we don't even have to let anyone read it before we pass it. Life is good. -Insert evil laugh here- Hey, let's take a trip to Italy, there's nothing so urgent it can't wait till we get back.

I see what your saying but pepole are losing jobs left and right and I hope this does more to help them than anyone.

My head is spinning just trying to figure out how all these crisis snowballed and peaked at about the same time. We have the economy, mortage, auto, banks failing, highest unemployment rate in years (sure I left something out) and now some states are saying they can't pay state income tax refunds to people.

I'm starting to wonder if there is any fixing the whole mess.

Col, I think it was something to make himself look good (for those who can't read or think for themselves). You are right there is no reward for doing things the right way.

The less you do the more you are helped out. It has become a way of life instead of a little help to get you back on your feet.
