the rear deck and the rear hatches
the battery hatch and the floor
when we put the fish finder, motor, trolling motor and everything back on it and put it on the trailer, ill post a pic to show you all what it looks like
Looks good, now all you need is to hook up with onemorecast56 when he gets back on his feet to have some padding, and carpet installed.
that is carpet, it is brown carpet. lol
good looking work. myself and a buddy of mine did almost the exact same thing to his and i promise you that you will love it... the only thing to be cautious of is weight and how much lower you will be sitting in the water.. before we fixed his boat it had 1 battery and 1 trolling motor and drafted about 2-3 inches of water. after we completed it it had 2 batteries, tolling motor, outboard motor, livewell, and all the decking like yours, now the boat alone drafts 6-7 inches and can be a little hairy when navigating rough water. we have never came close to capsizing but have hit a few barge waves and took on some water. congrats on the project!
that boat sure does look nice.... good work young man.... i wish i had a john boat still... i had one with a nice trailer but had a big bass boat and we sold it cause we never used it now i aint got a place to keep the big boat here in richmond and i wish every single pretty day that i still had my 14 foot waco and trailer to fish around here... i am contemplating buying a 12 footer with my tax money but i dunno....
Sure looks good. I wish I had that much work done to mine.
Love seeing the homemade work, looks good!
I have a homemade Jon-boat too...it's old school indeed, it used to belong to my dad. It's great except for one thing, which is the carpet. I personally will never own another boat that has carpet in it...I'm more of a hose it down type of guy.
