You'll have half the guys say one and the other half say the opposite. I love my Revo these reels are awesome, I wouldn't trade one of them for two Curado's.

I have used a buddy's Revo a few times I think he has the least expensive model of it and it's a good reel but not to my liking.
I use some old Green Curado's and some later models and I'm sold on Shimano. The Shimano Curado reels have proven themselves time and time again and by doing so they have become the standard that all manufactures try and duplictae. JMO

They are both good reels. The abu and shimano brands have proven themselves over the years in reliability and durability.
They are both great reels. Honestly you can not go wrong with either one. Just go with the one that feels better to you.
Got both, 2 Older Curados and 2 Revo SX's..... If I had to choose one or the other I would definitely choose the Revo's... They seem 2x lighter and 10x smoother and just seems to fit in my hand better than the curado does... Hope it helps...
i love my curdaos they are awesome... but for the money the revos are pretty good... u asked a tougher question than saying chevy or ford..... but they are both good and it will just be up to your decision on which one.... its apples to apples....
I wouldn't have anything that isn't a Shimano brand........
Granny smith's to golden delicous - it is all a matter of taste. I like them both.
Don if it was the blackmax that is a pretty low end reel, their economy model if you will. The Sx and the top end reel they have are totally different customers all together.I have used a buddy's Revo a few times I think he has the least expensive model of it and it's a good reel but not to my liking.
