I was told the corp will start holding water on March 15th, should be about 10 feet higher by the 28th.

I am going to be fishing Nolin (maybe) the end of the month for a few days. The lake is still down 23 feet from summer pool. This makes me a bit nervous. I have never been on the lake so have no idea what its like when down that much. Any guess on where it will be by March 28th? I could aks the Corps but I am sure I will get little help there.
Some guys said just stay away from upper end where it is more shallow and stay towards the dam end.
Any help, advice, guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks

I was down this past weekend and it's still close to winter pool, we put in at Wax and it was only 4 to 5ft in the channel up to the bridge. I would try to follow the channel as much as possible, we were trying the new HB 788 and GPS came in very handy. The cove's around Iberia and the back end of Conalaway was only 5 ft.
Hope the help's David
Here's a list of the lakes in the district. Check and you'll see most of them are still at winter pool except for the ones north.

This time of year toward the end of March you should really catch some fish. Try a jerk bait and a RC5 Shad Rap...If you like to est White Bass you should also be able to stock the freezer with some nice fillets for the future.
