Buckhorn Lake Conditions

Does anyone know what the lake conditions are right now at Buckhorn? Water temp and color. Also, any fishing reports would help also.

Dont go. But if you feel you have to then you will have to put in at the dam and will need another person or you will get wet. The lake is very low. Good luck if you do go.

The coe dont start holding water in buckhorn unitll the end of march- first of april. I wouldnt even launch anything in buckhorn right now. Im sure its muddy and nasty and Cold!!

I was not planning on going for at least a couple of weeks. I have only been fishing at Buckhorn since last year and have only put in at confluence, but the water has to be at summer pool to launch there. I was thinking about putting in at leatherwood, but it sounds like you can't even put in there till the water rises some. Thanks for the info catchemall and fisherman0625.

Was on Buckhorn today. We put in at State park ramp, they are actually drawing the water back bown right now. We only fished towards the dam, otter and gays creek. The water wasn't that bad 50-54 degrees and slightly muddy considering how much rain. We didnt have any luck but it was nice to be out of the house.

Thanks for the info dengle. Guess i will have to wait a little longer. Wonder why they are letting it back down? Are they expecting alot of spring rain?
