    New Line to try

Whats the new line of choice for the upcoming season? Anybody planning to try something new? I'm going to consider a couple of new ones myself but want to see what everybody else is doing too.

I tried it last year, it was too light for my bait caster so I put it on a spinning reel and love it so far.

    Re: New Line to try

I've tried two new lines this year so far (new to me). Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Stren 100% Flouro. Hybrid is cheap and is a good line. I like the Stren better though, it casts better than any flouro I've tried so far but haven't used it enough to see if it'll hold up. The next line I plan on trying is one of the Seaguars, everybody seems to like those.

    Re: New Line to try

Good thread, but I'm too stuck on what works for me to try something else.( Goes with the age I guess.) I've had good luck with 15 lb P-Line for everything I fish for and I would just hate it if I lost a fish(or a bait) due to a line that didn't do what it was supposed to do.

Gonna try some P-line this year. I am an EXCEL mono guy thru and thru but I'm gonna try that brand. I have wandered from it time and time again but always go back to it.

I may consider the excell myself seems to fit my budget a little better these days.
I am intriuged by the seagar lines though.

    Re: New Line to try

I am ditching the usual P-line for my upcoming trip to KY Lake in favor of the Mr. Crappie line. Man, that stuff is cheap price wise, I hope it is not as cheap in performance. I think I spent 7.50 for 3100 yds of 4lb test.

I am an Excel man good mono and great price. I am trying the seaguar 10lb. flourocarbon this year it is also the Lower price of the Flourocarbon lines and all the reviews I have read tell me this is a good line, but I will let you know how it performs for me.

I am thinking about trying the vicious line but waiting to see how others rate it first.

    my 2 cents
