I not great at identifing kentuckys and largemouths, but I am good at spotting toads, and man that thing is a certified toad, congratulations on a super nice fish.

ok well maybe it wasn't certified as a spotted bass but i just uploaded some pictures to the photo board of a "bass" be it largemouth or spot that wieghed 7lbs 3oz. take a look and see what you think. obviously it had the tooth patch on the tongue, it also had the soft skin between the spiny and soft dorsal fins, the patches were very broken up, and the jaw only came behind the eye about 1 cm. well who knows she sure fought like a spot. btw, i drove her back an hour and a half to the lake and released her so she could finish her spawn.

Very very nice fish. But a largemouth, 1000%, no argument.
I think it is a LM too. The jaws say it all. I have caught quite a few LM here with patches on their tongue. Regardless of that, it is an awesome fish. A 7 pounder is a 7 pounder, no matter what. Nice!!!!!
Hawg.....Largemouth 100%
ok, i stand corrected, thanks for the opinions.. i was a little concerned because one of the biologists was a little confused, while the other was 100% sure it was a lm... i am sure they made the right call but it never hurts to check.
Largemouth or Spot whatever? But a HAWG definitely.
Great fish! LM or KY doesn't matter.
May have missed it, what lake where you guys fishn?
