Well I got skunked. Water temp was 54.5 to 57, muddy around the shoreline. Jigs, Jerkbaits spinnerbaits and cranks. Three other boats after crappie and they wasn't happening either. Felt great to be out, sun and warm. It will not be long now.

I would have banked on getting a few nice ones this time of year. I'm sure it was good to feel the Sun instead of snow and rain while fishing.

Yes it felt good!!! But I got my butt handed to me. Oh well I'll get em sometime.

Was down there Sunday and it was some slow fishing. One about 2.06 on a crank in the large creek to the left of the ramp. A 300 series bandit. Water temp was at 48 degrees it was about 2:30 in the afternoon. Fish had shad still in his month. That lakes has way too much shad in it.

Hey Marv what was the ramp like? If I can shake this bug thats kept me home all week I may go get mine handed too me also. I know of a secret worm on this lake.

The ramp was fine, and they also have a new ramp to the right of the old one if your looking at the water. It was roped off. The ramp and marina is cleaned up . Parking will be a bigger issue before long, a lot of Rv's are up top and the new ramp took away some of the lower grass parking.

Thanks for the info i may go down this weekend. It has been yearsssssss sence I have been there, heard they are hitting frogs.

Fished it sunday for the first time in over 20 years, fish from 12:30 till 7:30 had 11 bass and 3 nice crappie, fish were only holding on north banks in about 8ft of water. Found a back way in and it's closer than beaver, will be hitting it a bunch this year, I can see why so many boats were crappie fishing those were all nice fish that I caught. All fish and crappie were on crank baits. No keeper bass but 4 were real close.
