boat size for ky lake tournys

Hey guys, I need to know if there is a minimum lenght for tournys on Ky lake. I have a nitro 750 (17'4) is this big enuff for Renegade and USA Bassin Classics? I heard there was a size limit on boats.

If there is a length limit is would be something that is in the rules for your tournament...you need to check the tournament rules.

I take it that my 15 foot boat with an 8 horse power motor might not qualify, time i got to my spot the tourny would be over.

you can also check the usabassin web site. i don't remember seeing a min on boat size. i do know that you have to have kill switch,livewell etc.

Most rules I have seen have a min. of 17'.

Don't think there is a minimum length. However, the wind can really get those lakes rolling. Just check what direction the wind will be coming out of the day you are there. When it is out from the north or south, be careful........

Just be careful, one time I was fishing a small bass club. Ran across Barkley and up the lake about two miles. I had 24lbs of bass on four fish and couldn't weigh them in because the lake was so rough. Had a 15.5 foot bass boat.

remember billyp the fish don't care if you are in a tracker or ranger,basscat triton just be smart as to the water conditions and wind directions i has a 14 1/2 big john with a 20 horse tiller motor and caught more fish in it tan the 3 other boats i ownede since
