Yea me too.Thats the only one I know of other than the private ones.Try to get to know one of the locals and they may let you use them,or ask the people at the bait house they would know.
There is another one. Its is on the other side of the lake next to the dam and stuff. It is open to the public and there is no dock fee. I will find directions to it and post tommorow evening. I know how to get to it just cant explain it. It is out 25 around the Water plant.
Yea, theres another public dock around the water plant. It would be perfect for a jon boat in that theres not much room to park a long truck and boat trailer. It's off of 25 in London. If you're headed away from London its on the left. Its called "Filter Plant Rd." As you go out through there keep hanging a right as the road splits. Its at the end of that road if I'm not mistaken. I know a couple fellows that live out through there. I've been to the dock once when it was first built a couple years ago. I think it even has a security light.. Imagine that..![]()
Thanks guys! Amazing how many quality fish are in that lake and at this time of year I really do not see alot of pressure thus far. Stupid trout love the shadraps is only downfall! May wait till we leave to see if we can locate the other ramp. Really appreciate the help!
Indeed it is a good dock for a john boat. I didn't know to much about it but my buddy puts in there quite a bit. Thanks for the directions, im not to familar with that part of london.Yea, theres another public dock around the water plant. Do any of you guys trout fish at Wood's Creek? Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what areas to try? My dad loves trout fishing and would enjoy it. I would soon bass fish though!
As you are at the dock facing the water go straight in the branch in front of you. There will be a cove on your right with a road running down it, thats a pretty good place. Or that little cove at the boat dock where everyone parks there boats. Set out from it and cast a jerk bait or something. I would take him to Laurel though for trout you slay them there.
Anywhere on the lake is good for trout. I caught 12 on a rayburn red trap on friday bass fishing. Caught them in the creeks as well as near the dam.
Been there the last three Sundays and trout are everywhere jumping and acting crazy. The lil cut across from the dock to the left with the bolder in the middle of it is packed with the trout right now. Was throwing a shadrap for bass and left the cove because of them (not huge but still slimy and annoying). Maybe a white roostertail and you could have a blast with them?
