We just got back last night from Lake Cumberland. This what we found in Beaver Creek.

The water temp. was 54 Friday evening. We started up around the big island and worked our way down. We were throwing a jig in a half ounce size that was white with no trailer. We worked our way down to Buffalo Ridge by dark and we only caught short fish. No bite after dark.

Saturday morning it was 22 with a heavy frost ( at least in my boat ) and we again went up to the big island. The water temp was 51 ( they are pulling the lake ) and the bite was not as good as the night before. We did catch a couple of short fish.

Saturday evening we never left the no wake area of Beaver Creek Marina. The bite was better. We got one good keeper and broke off a good one with some short fish throwed in for good measure.

It was 26 Sunday morning and we never went out. We loaded up and came home. I don't know what the water temp. was Sunday morning.

Can't wait to get back it was the first trip of the year for us. When the water temp. comes up a bit more it should get a lot better.

Looking forward to the night bite.
