Were not gona be gettin any cold rain so dont hesitate tryin it out next week, weathers suppose to be in 60's all week so everything should be back on track by then. Iv been gone for about a week, last time i was there water was pushin 54 in some places and 51 in alot of places in the big lakes. people were really catchin the crappie good from what i could see and the people i talked to. i fish for bass mostly unless the crappie are just goin nuts so hopefully someone else can get you a better report.

That's typical IMO. Some catch large crappie, some catch small, and I catch all small out of BG. Thanks for the input guys.

Look for crappie along the drops. Areas of shallow water close 15 to 20 ft on the sunny exposed side of the lake produce fish. Long points that connect form 4 ft depths directly to the deeper water are key. This time of the year look for the warmest water . They can be found in 2 ft of water feeding and enjoying the relatively warmer waters with wood or brush near deeper water. You have to search for them but there are some schools of larger crappie in these pits.
