Hot Sauce
Dont use WD-40......it displaces water, but it also displaces oils and grease - leading to immature wear and part failure. I use Hot Sauce Oil and Hot Sauce grease.
Some people swear by Rocket Fuel, but I haven't used it yet. I would like to, but I haven't been able to find the kind (color) that everyone raves about.
ty i will look for it
I don't swear by it but I have some Rocketfuel and will use it until it's gone. I'll try hotsauce after that.
I got the yeller....
I use abu garcia oil my reels once at the start of the season and once about half way through the season
I like Hot sauce too. I've never tried Rocket Fuel, but I hear great things about it. I usually take mine to a guy down the road that does a clean and lube on reels for $10 each. Saves me some headache. He told me the same about wd-40, that it can displace some other lubes and does not last. So far I have not had a problem with the hot sauce - they all feel brand new.
