Taking the boat to Rough River on Thursday with my dad and 7 and 9 year olds. I haven't been down there in a year or two. Was hoping someone may be able to give me some pointers on patterns and areas to fish. We'll probably fish for bass in the morning, but figure the boys will want more catching and less fishing by early afternoon so probably fish for hybrids and/or crappie. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I am more than happy to relay a detailed report in return.

The little man didn't last long bass fishing since we didn't catch any. Mainly fished cranks on points. Caught two hybrid trolling SR 5 shad raps down the creek channels in about 20 feet of water and several good crappie in brush piles in 11 feet of water. Water temps ranged from 56 to 60 depending on where you were on the lake.
