Thinking of making a trip around mid-May to Reelfoot Lake in TN. Anyone have any tips on where to stay and get a 3 day package deal (bait, boat, etc all included)? Looking at Boyette's Resort or Blue Bank Resort.
Any feedback or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Blue Bank is about the nicest place to stay when it comes to accomodations. I have been going down for the last 8 years and have stayed alot of places. Boyettes is where we have been going for the last few, very good people, and the best price on the lake. The cottages are older and small, but they are good enough to sleep and eat. We are heading down this Thursday night to fish for a few days for crappie and are staying at Boyettes again. Don't know if you have ever been down before, but we bluegill fish the first of June, and you are in for a treat.
Went years ago stayed at Blue bank got a guide from them had a great time went the first week in may. We caught so many bluegills I was tired of cleaning fish. Then while fishing the beds with fly rods and spinning gear we started catching 2-3# channel cats what a trip.

Channel cats on a fly rod...I thought I had heard it all! LOL! Were you using the infamous chicken liver fly? LOL!

Nope!!! but they use the fly rod and spinning reels and under handed pitch a slip boober under toss right next to they cypress tree.
Stayed at blue bank and eagles nest, both nice. Blue was the nicest overall, plus they have a nice restaurant with crappie slabs
It has been several yrs. since I was able to go down there. But had the same experience, catching channels while using ultra-lights fishing for bluegill.
I'm jealous of you going down there, good luck.
I have been going every year since '91. This year May 6-10. We have tryed several places and found Eagles Nest to be the best for us. Location, good boats, convenince, cookout all go toward a good experince. With the full moon on Sat 6/9, the gils s/b concentrated. Looking forward to a good trip.
I'm going to Eagles Nest April 19th -22nd. this will be my first trip to Reelfoot Lake. Anyone have any ideas on how the fishing is in that area. I believe the motors for the boats at the resort are small so I was just curious if there was good fishing near that resort.
even tho the motors are small you can still get around to where you want to go. you rarely need to go more that a few miles.
