    I use the o-ring too. It saves a ton of senko's. They will still tear up, but not after every fish with these. I use the wide gap finesse hook too with the o-ring - I just seem to have a better hook up ratio withough setting the hook so hard. If it is grassy, or in brush I will weightless t-rig them, but 90% of the time I throw a wacky set up.

    I use black srink tubing from hardware store so I won't lose so many and trying a new owner hook. It has a bigger bite and has a weedless feature to it. It is called the Owner Weedless Wacky hook.

    I use a 4/0 all the time wacky or t rig. I also put a finishing nail in the tails if they are a little deeper.

    I learned the hard way about setting the hook to hard with that set up. I use smoke or (dark?) fireline and all I have to do is pull back and start reeling instead of that sharp hookset. Like I said I learned the hard way....in a tournament!

    thanks for the replies, i also found out that their is no need to set the hook hard with a wacky rig.

    Cut a section from a regular drinking straw 1/4 to 1/2" long according to size of worm, it's cheaper

    Col Forbin, do u think a 1/0 ewg finnese hook is too small or just right? Given zoom trick worms and 4-5 inch stick baits??

    Re: senko and wacky rig

    the wacky rig always hooks the fish in the corner of the mouth its super easy to fish just cast it out and watch you line when it goes sideways or gets tight I just reel in the fish no hook set required. also its great for kids to catch there first Bass on an artificial bait.

    I Love fishing the wacky rig with a senko when it gets real tough I can use that to get a few fish.

    The way I rig it is simple and cheap and my worms last for a ton of fish here it is:

    use any hook you want, I use different sizes for weighting my worm my most common
    is a 1/0 offset hook and how I keep my worm on is; I use a small zip tie (you can get them at the dollar store 100 of them for $1.00) in either black or clear, I put it around the worm first then draw it snug (not to tight or you will sqeeze the worm) then clip of the piece sticking out of the buckle then I put the hook under the zip tie.

    this works great never lose my worm. besides real senkos cost more.

    {seen it in a magazine works great}
    hope this helps

    I like the 1/0 - they should work fine.
