There is no maximum size limit on that lake. Maybe they were running there big motors and the story got twisted because there is a 10 h.p. limit. The only lake I know of around here with a maximum size limit is Williamstown lake.
ky dept of fish a wild life has info on 18,6 rule elemer kincaid guist and a few others they had a couple of tourments last weekend and they got them that is how we found out
ON ALL KENTUCKY FISH & WILDLIFE-OWNED MANAGED LAKES Boaters must use idle speed
slowest speed possible to maintain maneuverability of a boat when passing another
boat with an occupant activelyengaged in fishing. The centerline of boats on thewater cannot exceed 18 feet 6 inches measured on deck, or from bow to stern, except on Cedar Creek Lake, Guist Creek
Lake and Lake Malone, wherethe centerline cannot exceed 22 feet
Here ya go i am actually in the final stages of the hiring process for fish and wildlife as a conservation officer... i looked into it for ya and this is what i found out...i wasnt aware of tha rule either untill i looked into it... but i hope this helps ya out... and just remember they are doing there job same as u do yours......

You two are right. I get a new fishing and boating guide every year and some how I missed it. It's on page 38 in the blue box if anyone wants to see it. Wasn't trying to spread misinformation on purpose, sorry fellas.
Having lived in Alexandria most all my life I have fished that lake since birth. As far as I know they have had that 18'6" rule forever but just started to enforce it a few years ago. They also used to let us put our boats back on the trailer with our outboards but started to fine ppl back in the 90ies and put a stop to that (10hp only lake).

i understand it all and its basically the same thing that i posted right above it....
Why? Because he is doing his job? I am sure he would love not to write tickets, but there are plenty of people out there that have to test the system. I am glad that they are out there doing their job. At least they aren't being paid for nothing. I have never been cited or even warned while fishing. What to know why? It's because I follow all the laws. If I do break a law (most of the times we know when we are in the wrong) and I get caught, then I deserve what I get. People need to take responisility for their own actions. But, I guess that some people are convinced that all game wardens are not worthy of any respect. I personally like seeing them out on the water doing their job. I don't want it any other way. I will even pay for an extra ticket book if he needs another one or two. Sorry, but that comment just got to me. So, so unnecessary. One way to get to a law breaker is not by warning him, but by getting into his wallet.

I also obey the laws, and have a 9.9, but when the game warden comes over the check my licsense and equip, I do not have a problem with that he or she is just doing there job. They protect our wildlife from idots. But when the warden down there rams my boat with his boat with his 75 horse because he was going to fast and doesn't say im sorry or nothing like that, and treats me like im guilty of something, maybe he had a bad day or this is how he treats others.
hey guys i didnt mean to make ne one mad or start something or be a bad person i was just sharing the info that is just what i heard all i want to know is why enforce the law now and not ne other time and there is nothing at the ramp saying ne thing about 18 6 i personally dont see the problem with it i pay my taxes like every one else and now i cant fish some of their lakes what up with that
