    I can't take it anymore!!!!!!!

Ok, sorry to be on here bitching but this weather *****!!!! I hate to admit it but as much as I like to fish i am more less a fair weather fisherman. I realize that there is nothing we can do about it but this has to be one of the worst springs for weather that I can remember. My winter blues are continuing much longer this year and I am about to lose it. I am sure all of you are feeling the same and my question is this: Do any of you all recall years with such terrible spring weather, and what effects did it have on the fishing as a whole for the year?

yeah i guess it was 5-6 years ago. i was dedicated to spending all of time on taylorsville lake and i had just bought my boat. every few days it seemed to be raining or cold front after cold front and the lake stayed high and muddy for weeks. i almost went nuts trying to get out and fish. i got over it and bought a rain suit and a box full of blk/blu jigs and spinner baits and fished it anyways. thats the only cure is to grin and bear the weather and make the best of it.

I tell ya what I've been fishing as much as I can but this weather around here has been horrible. At the rate it's going another year or so I may have to rebuild my house. Between the Hurricanes, Ice Storms, several 60 to 70 mile an hour wind events, the Thunderstorms from Hell recently that the Hail about beat the siding off of it I'm about to give in, lol. I can't fix things fast enough that Mother Nature doesn't tear something else up. We had an unreal Hail event the other day with Biblical rainfall. To answer your question is a big FAT YES, I to am sick of this Ohio Valley weather and if I ever win the lottery my arse is out of here and quick. On a good note, if you get out between the parades of cold fronts, there has been some mighty good days to be had, just gotta be there at the right time. Do like I've been doing say to heck with it and go anyway like ole King said.

I agree with you.....the weather does stink royally. However, there are some big fish being caught around the state. For some reason, only bigger fish seem to bite when the weather stinks, the water is cold, and the clarity is stained to muddy............GO FIGURE! The fishing may be slow throughout these fronts, but if an individual does get bit, it's gonna be a great one.

i went to dale this morning after looking at a great forecast for today down there... it was supposed to be 70 and clear with a light wind... but it really was 51 and overcast and windy.... at one point i had my trolling motor on 80 percent and it was just barely making headway.... i give up at around 1 and came on in.... this weather truly does stink... and i am back in richmond now and its fairly warm with no breeze and its clear..... wow and the lake was still a chilly 53 to 56.... but i did catch one 4 lb smallie on a jerkbait and this one wasnt a train wreck my line just got tight that was all...

Worst of all to me is I'm tearing up my boat, my back, my kidneys knees and most of all my feelings. The waves and wind are the worst I've seen in a long time as far as longevity goes. You fish where there's no wind you catch no fish, fish in the wind and maybe get lucky - but you seem to catch them in bunches in one area then the next day their gone or suspending but mostly just gone.

In like a lion out like a lamb - HA!

Bring on the Alberta Clippers. December Float N Fly season is just a few short 7 1/2 months away. Already looking for 50 degree water for the first time at Dale and my bobber going hippity hop. Nothing like Dale Hollow on a Tue, Wed or Thur, with a North wind about 10mph, 34 degrees, sleet, snow and rain and have not seen the sun all day long. Got the lake to myself and the big Smallies are EATING.
