He started off slow this year. It was only a matter of time.

This guy is unbelievably awesome. I think this $100,000.00 puts him over $3.3million in earnings which doesn't count his probably close to 1 million in yearly endorsements. Kudos to KVD and looking foward to seeing them all here at KY Lake again.

Yea he is the man, and if you read all the reports, Skeet Reese is always comparing himself to KVD, its amazing, he is the most cocky guy out there, and hates it that he is not considered the best, and KVD is. The guy has a huge ego, but will never match up with KVD. KVD is a fishing machine, dont know how he does it, but he could find fish in a cess poo.
A lot of folks forget or do not know that these guys are a coorperation with millions of dollars at stake in advertising and endorsements. All the have to do is execute. The fish are already found and patterned. The GPS units are pre-programed and ready to go. All of this is done before they arrive at the launch. They have an entire team of folks taking care of everything, like a NASCAR pit-crew if you will. If any of you guys think that they go into a tourny like you and me then you need to see the light. I am not taking anything away from these fellow fishermen but I really hate the Superstar hype.
KVD is like Dale Earnhard was too Nascar the best there is.And some will aways hate it or love it.I have meet both and like them.RIP dale and keep on going KVD.Terry Adolph![]()
dmase, you still have to set the hook and almost always the "game plan" will change
i do agree that they are a cooperation. but all of these folks are gone on the road around 200 days a year. counting off season appearances. even if i was good enough to fish the pros the time away from family would wear me out. just my 2 cents
This is true, and have heard time and again, but you still have to be able to catch them, you could give 98% of fisherman the same information, and they couldnt duplicate what he does tournament after tournament.A lot of folks forget or do not know that these guys are a coorperation with millions of dollars at stake in advertising and endorsements. All the have to do is execute. I'm not buying that.A lot of folks forget or do not know that these guys are a coorperation with millions of dollars at stake in advertising and endorsements. All the have to do is execute. About 25 % of what you say is right.A lot of folks forget or do not know that these guys are a coorperation with millions of dollars at stake in advertising and endorsements. All the have to do is execute. Where do you guys get this stuff? You should use your "creative" minds for purposes of good. That is like a weekend golfer saying Tiger Woods aint' for real or a pick-up basketball player saying they could take Lebron to the hole or a beer-league softball player busting on Bonds. Ok, that last one wasn't a good example but you get my drift.
I promise you these guys don't have pre-programmed GPS units. They have much more to do than just execute and the fish aren't already found for them. Who would find them, you? They are usually adjusting on the fly all of the time anyway. The patterns are typically generic in that everyone knows (or there are very few surprises anymore) what pattern will win/should but they can find some pretty neat twists to those generic patterns too. Such as KVD catching everyone off guard by winning sight-fishing smallies. Nobody saw that coming on that lake.
But most of all, the majority of these guys can just catch them better. I have been in the boat twelve top level guys during both practice and competition. Some people can catch fish but believe me, these guys take it to another level. Several of my friends have said over the years, why aren't you out there doing it. I always say, "I've seen them at work and they really are that much better". And that is the truth. If the truth hurts your feelings than I'm sorry. They really are that good. And you probably aren't.
You sound jealous to me. If it's so easy then go "sell yourself" to some corporate types and ride the gravy train that KVD is on.A lot of folks forget or do not know that these guys are a coorperation with millions of dollars at stake in advertising and endorsements. All the have to do is execute. Grassrat,
I will be a marshal at the Ky Lake tournament. Have any suggestions on what to take with me. My goal is to learn a minimum of 5 things per fisherman. My understanding is that I will ride with 2 different fisherman . Thanks! Ed
