10lb Bass in Fairdale

Did anyone see Sundays paper where that 15 year old caught a 10lb bass out of the little lake in Jefferson Memorial Forrest? It was a hog, and I think he caught it off the bed, and I believe she went home with the fella, cant say as I blame him, but it would of been nice if she would of spawned out before they caught her. I have been to the lake, and I would of never guessed it had a bass that size.

I saw that as well. I used to take my kids fishing there quite a bit a few years ago because we lived close. My son and I even put our canoe in there a couple of times. We caught fish, but not anywhere near that size. Here is a link to the story and picture:

Fish of a life time for most of us. I personally can't blame the young man for wanting to mount that trophy on the wall.

I have a 9 lb'er on the wall. The taxidermist told me that my fish was very old and probably would not have survived after the rigors of the spawn.

Just my thoughts, but I would think that is probably the case with this fish. I would like to find out approx. how old that fish is.

What a pig.

I heard about it on the Strader show last Sunday and then went to his website to see the picture. It was a big one.
