Debris conditions on lower end of Cland?

I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of the debris conditions on Cland from say the mouth of Beaver to the dam. After hearing all of the bad reports from mid lake and up I though maybe it's not as bad on the lower end. Mother Nature can be downright cruel jacking things up right in the primetime topwater window!

Angry Re: Debris conditions on lower end of Cland?

Went out Sunday night for about 5 hours. Launched out of Halcombs and fished main lake down past Indian Creek. It was bad, had to bring in and clean trash off lure after each cast. Started fishing on the North side, then decided there might be less trash on the South side. No way, wind shifted and started blowing out of the NE and here came the trash. Gave it up around midnight.

Note: Big races scheduled for this weekend and Halcombs ramp will be closed from Thursday pm until, I believe sometime Sunday.

Reports I'm hearing is that is it absolutely terrible. Trash everywhere huge trip enders floating all over, and guess what more heavy rain expected the rest of the week.

Thanks Boone/mhall, that's what I was afraid the conditions were. I guess I'll give Laurel a try tonight. I hear there's very little debris. Maybe Cland will have shaped up by next week although I'm guessing that debris will be around for a good while before it sinks or the lake comes down 10 ft.

You know it really stinks to as you say the timing could not have been worse. Why not in the middle of the summer or something or when the Poker Run was going on, lol. I'm sorry Lord, the Devil made me say it, lol.

I plan on pulling down rod's and planers maybe set the Downrigger's also in the no-wake zone from the Dam to past Roweena and Beaver during the races etc.
Think about it! NO WAKE ZONE. bait fish dis-orinated, easy pickins.
Anyone ever watch the TV show "Tarpon of Boca"
Heck I may even make it on TV from the filming Helicopter's in the air

Mark you know I'm just yank'in you're chain.
For the newer member's on here I'm somewhat known for fishing West end/ Dam area of the lake. I do not post every catch anymore as some took advantage of the info. and kept everything including Brown fish.
BTW my post number is low as it was lost when Peter and Jim switched servers or did some kind of update. I have been a member of this forum for a long time.
