Cedar Creek On Friday (5/15)

Has anybody been on Cedar this week? I'm on one of those working vacations (painting my house) but come Friday morning I plan on heading down to Cedar for the day. Thanks...

I was there yesterday and it was picture perfect. Not too much boat traffic...I was strictly bass fishing. Throwing a Baby Brush (Watermelon) and a Tiki Stik (green) into the fallen trees, points and the edge of cattails. Shallow was key for me...between 0 to 4ft. seemed to work the best. Caught plenty between 14in. and 17in. Nothing major but a good day.

There were some guys wearing out the crappie and bluegill on the backside of the lake. I saw them throwin' in the boat as fast as the line hit the water.

Thanks TroutCrazy... Got back from Cedar a little while ago. Had a shortened day with a storm that rolled through so I only got to fish about 4 hours. Did pretty good though. Caught quite a few bass mostly in the 12-14 range, biggest went 17.5 in, didn't weigh it. Caught everything up tight to the bank and cover. Saw some males hanging out guarding fry, saw a lot of big mamas roaming the banks but couldn't get most to bite. Had one nice one that I think would've been my first Cedar keeper (20inch limit) wrap me around a tree and got off. Caught em on lizards, jigs, and my first ever on a swimbait which happened to be the big one. Great day to fish with my dad and brother.

great report thanks, glad you caught some fish. I have yet to make it to cedar may try to go sunday.
