trolling motor wiring ?

Ok, wiring was unhooked when my buddy bought a used boat. It's got a Motorguide 656 12/24 trolling motor. Need to make sure I wire it up right. It has 2 sets of pos and neg cables(red and black). Thanks for any help.

so 4 wires total at both ends (battery/TM)? How many wires on the TM?
