Smile Post Spawn Walleye_Wolf Creek Dam Tailwater

Decided to try for Walleye on the CR over the holiday weekend. My first time Walleye fishing. Landed 5 nice ones Sunday afternoon/night. Ranged from 15 1/2 up to 23 inches. All caught on jerk baits (Bomber in Clown pattern) and Rattlin Rogue (pearl with pink head). Went again this morning a landed one around 6:30 am at 21 1/2 inches (Thumbnail) (Black & Chrome Rattlin Rogue).

WTG Boone, where do you live in Jamestown? If I don't sink in this lousy economy I hope to retire there in several years. The wifey and I have 2 1/2 acres in a subdivision slowly being developed on the way to Pleasant Hill. It backs up to Lilly, I can hear the boats from my lot. I love it down there, always have. My Mother-in-law is from there her maiden name was Dunbar.
Anyway I digress, good job on the eyes, some of the best eating aroung bar none.

Wife and I built our retirement home just south of Jamestown and moved in earlier this year. Just getting settled, but loving it. We are about 7 miles from the Rowena ramp, 10 miles from the ramp and Halcombs and 11 miles from the Pumpkin Creek ramp. Did I say were'r loving it!

Perfect location, just perfect. I'm happy for you and your wife to enjoy your new home and retirement, a dream realized I'm sure.
