Sorry guys, but lost my password, and took a while to find where I had it.
Since it is so late ont he report, I'll skip the lake conditions, other than to say they were still pulling the lake hard, and even though the lake was still a foot or two above summer pool, fishing was tough.
A cold front had passed, and all my normal high water spots were void of fish!! Well, we caught one or two 13-14 inchers there but that was all.
Water was very stained, and my buddy kept fishing a very light CR, about a 1/4 oz weight, and he caught a bunch of short fish.
My neighbor came along too, and he had not fished for years, he managed one or two shorts too.
Me?? The one with the boat, all the tackle, well I did manage on 13 incher in the boat, and lots of misses!!! I switched to light tackle and a spot remover shakey head jig, and a watermelon straight tail worm, with chartruese dye on the tail. Lots of bites, but I just could not get the hook set with that soft rod. I know it is possible, I just did not get it done. I had one that I thought looked to be about a keeper, it got me tied up in a laydown and that was it.
Still had a great time.
Bad news was discovered though. My Dr. believes I have totally blown out my right knee. He thinks the ACL, MCL, and meniscus are all torn. The MRI has been done and am meeting with surgeon this coming week. I will also get a second opinion, not sure when that will happen.
Anyone who can reccomend a good Ortho. Dr., I would surely appreciate it. I am looking for Docs in the Owensboro/Henderson and Evansville areas.
Thanks for any help
