anyone catching crappie or heard of anyone having luck? the wife is wanting to go this coming weekend and loves to fish for crappie and im not too good as a crappie guide. any info is appreciated.

One of the Crappie.com site members reported catching Crappie in 10-15ft of water, Holmes Bend area, around brushpiles. Also found them following schools of shad. Said he used several hundred minnows, and had to wade thru the dinks ... but ended up with 39 keepers (10-13" range).

If it were me ... I'd be fishing the brushpiles with minner/cork ... but, casting a 1/16oz tube jig or marabou Roadrunner, and swimming it under the roaming shad schools !!
From the report this fellow gave, it sounds like the Crappie are past the post spawn resting period, and are actively munching down to get their weight/strength back. Now, whether or not this will still be going on next weekend, I can't rightly say. But, you're certainly welcome to come to the site and look to see if any reports are posted about Green River Lake.
