Was fishing Dale Hollow last night (Tuesday Night) and hooked in to a rod and reel. So if you lost one just let me know what kind of reel and rod you lost and this might be yours. This outfit could have been lost the same night from the way it looked it is in real good shape.

Hey this is pretty cool that someone from fishin.com may have found some else's rod/reel who is also a member here...
Very cool. I wish someone on here would say they found a 7ft. Powell Rod with a Revo SX attached to it. I lost one in Barkley this spring. I only had it for about a month. Oh well, it's not the first one I've lost and probably won't be the last.
I lost a Bass Pro Extreme with a Plueger presidential reel between goat and little goat island last friday. it should have a 3.5" white swim bait attached. see my post on Small jaws.com under lost and found.

yeah check on smalljaw.com did u find it up around first island... if i recall that is where the feller lost it at..... good job on your part for reporting it found there are alot of people out there these days that would just have kept it....
I think it is GREAT that someone who found equipment is taking the effort to find the original owner. I posted on smalljaw.com (audmet) on losing my rod and reel back in May around Little Goat. It was a 7' or 7.6' Avid St. Croix rod and I do not remember brand of bait casting reel ( I think Plueger) but it is olive in color with a left-hand crank. Again congratulations on your honesty! Was fishing Dale Hollow last night (Tuesday Night) and hooked in to a rod and reel. I see no one has claimed the rod and reel yet. Looks like there have been a few rod and reels lost on Dale so just so the ones that have lost their rigs this might help for you know that this outfit was found just down from the State Dock. I will keep checking back time to time so if you know anyone that has lost a reel latley let them know and maybe this will be the one.
A guy called me today and indicated that he wasn't a fishin member but he lost a spinning combo close to the state line. He lost a custom Elden Brandt rod. The rod maker signed the rod. Rod was lost in 12 fet of water. If this is his, I have his contact info.
Seeing this thread and losing a flashlight in T-ville this weekend reminds me of the time last year when we were camping on Kincaid and I got up at dawn to go fishing. I was fishing out of a canoe about 50 yards from our campsite with my brand new rod and reel (my wife gave it to me for my birthday) when as I as paddling, I heard a "plomp" from right behind me. I looked all around the canoe while thinking the worse. Sure enough, rod and reel was gone.
I figured the water was about 15' deep, but there was a fallen tree right there. Then I came up with the idea that I would tie on a large treble hook with a sinker right above it and drag the area for my rod. After about 25 tried and 25 snags on the tree, I was about to give up when all of the sudden, I saw a glint in the water. Sure enough, there it was! The whole episode took about 30 minutes and not a single other person ever woke up to witness what was going on. I still can't believe it.
I lost a 4' B&R rod w/ a Shimano Curado D last year at Geiger island but I doubt it would be in good shape now.
